The Socialist Equality Party says one thing on its Website which seems particularly relevant to us-election.org.
In a statement dated January 27, 2004, the site proclaims, "Given the global impact of the United States, it
would be entirely appropriate to allow the citizens of every country to participate in the election of an
American president. It does seem relevant, at least, to hear what you have to say".
The SEP vows to remove all US soldiers from the Middle East, denounces imperialism, promises to "dismantle
the Pentagon war machine" and eliminate weapons of mass destruction held by the US, and adopt "a socialist
foreign policy based on international working class solidarity." It views virtually all political issues
through the prism of class, and we were able to find little focus on the issues that other candidates tend to
talk about, such as civil liberties, gun control, women's reproductive rights and the like.
